MISSION:
Generations is a church fully committed to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Our mission is "to reach, teach, equip and send people for Jesus Christ." This mission will be accomplished through the following avenues:
-
Prayer. Prayer is the cornerstone and foundation upon which Generations is built. All ministries that take place will take place while prayer is being offered to God, before, during and after. It is God who brings results to any ministry effort and a strong dependence upon Him through prayer will always be evident.
- Preaching, Teaching, and Discipleship. The Word of God will always be preached and taught boldly from the pulpit in a way that stirs people to action and change. We will never dilute the Word of God, for it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe. The Lord commanded us to make disciples of all people. We believe that discipleship begins the moment an individual makes a decision to follow Jesus and continues to their last day. We will have a program of intense discipleship in place and available at all times.
-
Worship. We believe that worship should be given in such a way that God is lifted up and that people are drawn to Him. Our worship is Spirit filled and spontaneous with the focus always upon Jesus. Man shall never be glorified in our worship.
-
Fellowship. We believe in the coming together of the saints for Godly fellowship. This is what will develop Godly relationships and draw people to Jesus. The love we display is that which will attract non-believing people to a relationship with the Redeemer. "Show me a redeemed life, and I will believe in your redeemer." – Voltaire
-
Missions and Evangelism. God has called each of us to go forth into all the world and preach the Gospel. We are about this effort continuously, believing God for the results and His promise that His Word never comes back void. This will be accomplished through local outreach, short term missions, and supporting full time missions work.

VISION:
"To enable people in our community, and beyond, to become aware of God as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, respond to Him in a personal commitment of faith, strive to follow Him as fully committed disciples, live in full recognition of the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, and to grow toward Christian maturity."

There is one God, Who infinitely, perfectly exists eternally in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit- each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He existed with the Father before the foundation of the earth and transcends time and space. Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 1:23; 28:19, John 1:18
The Bible is the infallible Word of God. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit through the hands of human authors and is without error in the original manuscripts. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21
Salvation may only be obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His completed work at Calvary. By confessing the Lord Jesus and believing in one’s heart that God has raised Him from the dead does one make confession unto salvation. Good works are not a condition of salvation, but rather a result. The indwelling Holy Spirit guides, teaches and empowers the believer to live a victorious life, free from the bondage of sin and corruption. Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8,9, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:5-7
Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but through disobedience (sin) he fell into a state of separation from God. The result of this fallen state is both physical and spiritual death. It is God’s desire that every believer live a Spirit-filled life. The evidence of a Spirit-filled life will be love, boldness and thankfulness to God for all things — good and bad. Genesis 1:26,27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19, 1 Peter 1:15,16
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as set forth by the Holy Scriptures. The gifts are given for the edification of the church and the building of the Kingdom of God. The gifts of the Spirit are not in any way related to obtaining salvation but rather given freely by God to each believer according to His sovereignty. John 7:37-39, Acts 1:8, Hebrews 12:28, Acts 2:42, Mark 16:20, 1 Corinthians 12 & 14
There will be a day very soon when Jesus will gather together those who believe in Him in a snatching away or “Rapture of the Church.” This is not the second coming of Christ but rather precedes His coming. The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. This vital truth gives the believer the incentive to live a holy and upright life being faithful to the calling of God. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, 1 Corinthians 15:51,52
We believe in the ordinance of baptism by immersion as commanded by the Lord Jesus. This experience is identification with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection. Baptism is in no way related to the obtainment of salvation, but rather a desire to fulfill all righteousness resulting from salvation. Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47,48, Romans 6:4
We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper (communion) as an emblem of the broken body and shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:26
We believe in the Lord’s command to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

1. Why do newcomers make Generations their church home?
Overwhelmingly, the number one reason people make Generations their home church is the warmth and love they experience in our family. Secondly, people are drawn to Generations because of our primary focus on prayer and intimacy with God. Preaching and teaching are Biblical and balanced, staff are not overbearing but committed to serve, and children are well cared for. In addition newcomers quickly experience the comfort and encouragement of being part of a Christian community. Most newcomers find that friends are easily made.
2. How is a person made right with God?
3. What is your position on the authority of Scripture?
The Bible is the infallible Word of God. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit through the hands of human authors and is without error in the original manuscripts. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. See our Statement of Faith
4. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven?
Yes. While there may be a variety of different manners in which people worship and express themselves to God, ultimately, there is one way to the Father by way of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except by Me.” See our Statement of Faith
5. What is your position on the Lordship Salvation issue, i.e., Can a person take Jesus as Savior without taking him as Lord?
No, Jesus is both Savior and Lord. To receive Him is to receive Him as Savior and Lord or to not receive Him at all.
6. Do you have members?
Yes and No. Yes we have those who we would consider members of Generations who are committed to the mission and calling that God has given us. We require leadership to go through certain classes and to observe their lives prior to being placed in a leadership position. However, we do not have formal members or a membership role.
7. How do I get involved?
There are a variety of ways to get involved at Generations Church. The best way is to begin attending prayer services on Friday night and some of the other Church events. Any staff member can be approached regarding opportunities and places to serve.
8. I want to be baptized, what’s the first step?
Well, the first step of course is to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. Click here to find out about Salvation. The next step is to approach someone in leadership on Sunday and let us know you want to be baptized! We typically hold one baptism per quarter on a Sunday evening.
10. Who are your favorite authors?
Jim Cymbala, John Bevere, Henry Blackaby, Max Lucado, and Billy Graham. My wife Kellee enjoys Beth Moore, Tim Lahaye, and Jerry Jenkins in addition to the ones I've listed.
11. What are your views regarding divorce and remarriage?
We believe the Bible allows for divorce and remarriage in the cases of adultery or physical abandonment of the marriage by an unbelieving spouse. Malachi 2:14-16, 1 Corinthians 7:12-16; Matthew 5:32; 19:9
12. What is your position on the charismatic movement? Generations Church is a Non-Denominational, Spirit-Filled church. While we believe in the full exercise of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit we firmly believe the Bible gives very clear guidance as to their use in the church. Allowing God to move in the Power of His Spirit does not mean that “anything goes.” God is a God of order and we subscribe to order in our services and allow God to direct. What would I call myself? I would say I am a conservative-charismatic!
13. How would the church handle a case of scandal or immorality by a member?
We believe that living in the age of grace does not mean that sin goes unchecked. Church discipline is conducted with two goals in mind: First, to address the sin according to God’s Word and hold accountable. Second: to restore such persons to favor with God and fellow believers. These goals together with God’s discernment will help to assure both that people’s reputations are protected from false accusation and that scandalous conduct or heresy is not permitted to go on in the church. 1 Corinthians 5:1-13, Hebrews 12:3-11.
14. How old is your church?
Generations Church was planted in January of 2002 by my wife Kellee and I and another couple, Philip and Lori Mason. We have gone through several phases of our existence to include 2 deployments to Iraq on my part and Phil and Lori’s calling to Texas in 2005. We were combined with another church for most of 2005 and have now emerged again with a fresh direction and focus. We are in our new facility preparing for what God has next!
15. Who are you affiliated with?
Generations Church is an independent church with no denominational affiliation. However, we participate with many local congregations in the work of the Kingdom in our local area and I have accountability and deep friendships with many local pastors.
16. How would you describe your worship?
Our worship represents a blend of 80s, 90s, and modern worship songs. We have a full band in place and consider worship to be one of the high points of our service. We typically use music from sources such as Vineyard, Hillsongs, Integrity and other artists, but lately have experienced a new freshness in our spirits through the music of Christ for the Nations International. www.cfnimusic.com.
17. How would you describe the preaching at Generations?
Preaching is grounded in a thorough study of the Scripture, delivered in a style that is both serious and upbeat, and focused on applying truth to life. With multiple teenagers in the church and my own son Cameron turning 21, I understand the importance of breaking God’s Word down in a way that will reach every person where they are. I typically preach through a book of the Bible. Sermons last 30-45 minutes. Audio sermons are now available on this website by clicking on the "Listen Online" picture on the home page.

Pastor Ryan Krause- One of the most common things you will hear Pastor Ryan say to others is: "Live life with no regrets." This same passion illuminates Ryan's life and ministry as he and his wife Kellee endeavor to bring the life changing message of Jesus Christ to all who cross their path.
Enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17, Pastor Ryan served more than 16 years as a Hospital Corpsman, having been deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom twice, first in 2003 and then again in 2004-05. Ryan previously served in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope in 1992 and 1993.
Ryan's life and career were suddenly and radically transformed in January of 1996 when in the quiet of his living room one evening Jesus Christ became His personal Lord and Savior. From that moment on Ryan has boldly driven forward in his desire to glorify Jesus in every part of his life. Having a wide range of ministry experiences that span 12 years and four continents, Ryan now takes the Gospel to any who will hear the message, both on the military battlefield where comparatively few find themselves, and the spiritual battlefield where all believers find themselves daily.
In January of 2003, after pastoring Generations Church for only one year, Ryan received the call to deploy with his military unit for a possible war with Iraq. After seeing many lives changed and many people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Ryan was sent home early, only 50 days after entering Kuwait for the first time. Ryan came to realize that God's timing is always perfect and his memories of the "desert revival" would stay with him forever.
In 2004, Ryan was again notified of his imminent re-deployment to the Middle East. This time he found himself in the heart of the Sunni Triangle in Ramadi, Iraq. Leaving in August of 2004, and remaining in the combat zone for just over six months, Ryan again witnessed the Lord work in powerful ways. It was during this time in Ramadi that he began to write his book, Reflections from the Battlefield, which is the byproduct of Ryan's experiences in OIF 1 and 2, initially materializing in the form of e-mails sent to family and friends on a weekly basis.
Since Ryan's return, his desire has been to be used of the Lord to affect people for the Kingdom, having opportunities to address both small and large audiences. Generations Church is the place where Ryan's vision has taken root and through the various ministries and committed leadership that stands side by side with him, they have seen lives change in their community through the power of Jesus Christ!

"Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business..." Acts 6:3
New Testament Deacons serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church-doing the benevolence work, visiting the sick, being alert to the spiritual needs of the congregation-for the purposes of freeing the pastoral staff to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word, promoting unity within the church, and facilitating the spread of the gospel.
Our Deacons serve several specific functions at Generations Church. All are vital and important to the life of the church and its proper functioning.
1. The Office of Deacon Was Established to Free the Apostles (who functioned as the first pastors) to Pray and to Prepare to Minister the Word.
2. The Early Deacons Were Selected for Their Spiritual Qualifications.
1st Timothy 3 and Acts 6 expound the qualifications for the office of deacons; the later contains what could fairly be called the "core qualifications":
"Men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom" -- Acts 6:3
"And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit" -- Acts 6:5
Often, when someone is discussed as a possible deacon one hears a remark such as, "He attends regularly and is a good giver." But God is looking at men with an internal dynamic, which cannot be determined in a superficial way.
3. Deacons Are to Be Capable of Serving the Lord in Spiritual Ways.
The original seven deacons were people who were able to serve the Lord in ways which were more spiritual in nature than merely delivering food. Stephen was a man of spiritual power: "And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people" (Acts 6:8 NKJV). Philip was not only a deacon, but also was gifted in evangelism. Acts 8:5-7
4. The Office of Deacon Requires a Firm Grasp of Sound Doctrine.
A church is content oriented. It is a doctrinally driven community, built upon truth. Every member should have this approach in this fellowship; leaders such as deacons, not less but, more so. "They must possess the mystic secret of the faith [Christian truth as hidden from ungodly men] with a clear conscience." Acts 6:9
5. The Presence of Deacons Should Advance the Unity of a Church.
When the Apostles laid out the plan for the creation of this office, "The saying pleased the whole multitude" (Acts 6:5 NKJV). The complaints about the benevolence ministry stopped. And the complaints were by the Greek speaking Jews, the Hebrew speaking Jews obviously bent over backwards to preserve the church's unity, for all the men selected had Greek names. It is still true today: Any time a church has deacons who are properly doing their jobs, the church is more likely to be at unity.
6. The Presence of Deacons Should Advance the Cause of Evangelism.
The immediate impact of the creation of the office of deacon was to eliminate the controversy in the church and to get the church back on course in fulfilling its mission. The Bible says that, "Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith" (Acts 6:8 NKJV). Again, it is still true. When a church has deacons who are in God's will, the cause of world evangelization will be aided.

Code of Ethics for Leadership |
It is important that those in ministry conduct themselves in a way that is glorifying to God and in keeping with His Word. Because of the unique job that Christian leaders and pastors hold, it is necessary to have general guidelines to operate within. Of course, the bible gives us all we need for life and godliness, so this code of ethics is not in anyway meant to be inspired or to replace the Holy Scriptures, only to bring greater clarity to matters and situations not clearly spelled out in the Word of God.
