We see in the life of Peter a story of redemption and eventually, a man who could not get to Jesus fast enough! There is a wonderful reflection of brokenness in his life begging the question: does your own life reflect brokenness? When we talk about brokenness we do not mean crumbled or destroyed, rather, it is a brokenness reflecting the NEED for a Savior in our lives. When we try to convincing everyone that we are just fine, we inadvertantly make the statement that we do not need a Savior. Are you taking the time to “get real” with Jesus, and allowing Him to meet you where you are today? Are you ready to allow Jesus to give you grace? Know this, our feelings & emotions will come and go, but the love of Jesus remains.

Such a powerful lesson for us today as we explore what voices we recognize and listen to. Do you recognize the voice of the Lord? Do you listen to the voice of the Lord? God has a specific plan for each of our lives however in order to know what that might be we have to be willing to listen and hear the voice of the Lord. We need to be fully available to do the will of the Lord. What leads you today in your life…money, pride, emotion, power, the law? This is a tough question to get honest with yourself and answer, however we need to know so we can determine what in our lives needs to be refined and changed. God wants us to know that he is running our life not us, are you ready to engage?
