Pastor Ryan Krause- One of the most common things you will hear Pastor Ryan say to others is: "Live life with no regrets." This same passion illuminates Ryan's life and ministry as he and his wife Kellee endeavor to bring the life changing message of Jesus Christ to all who cross their path.
Enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17, Pastor Ryan served more than 16 years as a Hospital Corpsman, having been deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom twice, first in 2003 and then again in 2004-05. Ryan previously served in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope in 1992 and 1993.
Ryan's life and career were suddenly and radically transformed in January of 1996 when in the quiet of his living room one evening Jesus Christ became His personal Lord and Savior. From that moment on Ryan has boldly driven forward in his desire to glorify Jesus in every part of his life. Having a wide range of ministry experiences that span 12 years and four continents, Ryan now takes the Gospel to any who will hear the message, both on the military battlefield where comparatively few find themselves, and the spiritual battlefield where all believers find themselves daily.
In January of 2003, after pastoring Generations Church for only one year, Ryan received the call to deploy with his military unit for a possible war with Iraq. After seeing many lives changed and many people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Ryan was sent home early, only 50 days after entering Kuwait for the first time. Ryan came to realize that God's timing is always perfect and his memories of the "desert revival" would stay with him forever.
In 2004, Ryan was again notified of his imminent re-deployment to the Middle East. This time he found himself in the heart of the Sunni Triangle in Ramadi, Iraq. Leaving in August of 2004, and remaining in the combat zone for just over six months, Ryan again witnessed the Lord work in powerful ways. It was during this time in Ramadi that he began to write his book, Reflections from the Battlefield, which is the byproduct of Ryan's experiences in OIF 1 and 2, initially materializing in the form of e-mails sent to family and friends on a weekly basis.
Since Ryan's return, his desire has been to be used of the Lord to affect people for the Kingdom, having opportunities to address both small and large audiences. Generations Church is the place where Ryan's vision has taken root and through the various ministries and committed leadership that stands side by side with him, they have seen lives change in their community through the power of Jesus Christ!
